JOB SUMMARY: This role presents a unique opportunity to be part of the Founding Team of the new Point-Of-Sale-Persons (POSP) channel, which is being setup from scratch.  This new channel will have a very simple and easy, digitally enabled process for recruiting prospective Point-Of-Sale-Persons. They will sell a simple easy- to-sell product, called the “Guaranteed Benefits Plan” already filed with the regular.  Your job will be to take ownership to recruit and develop the first batch of Max Life’s Point-Of-Sale-Persons. You will be given 100% leads to call for recruitment, making it easy for you to recruit. You will also be able to do the recruitment remotely over phone. Successful Channel Managers will be later given responsibility to focus on managing relationships with Point-Of-Sale-Persons and helping them sell Max Life’s POS products.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: A)   Acquire capabilities to succeed in this role   Successfully complete the in-house training & development program to enable the new Channel Managers:  Understand IRDA regulation on POSP defining who can become POS and type of products that he can sell  Know the relevance of the channel and why the new POS channel is relevant for Max Life  Learn the recruitment pitch to be made to prospects and type of prospects to be targeted    Familiar with the process for using the POS portal, contracting & registering the new POS persons
 B)   Recruit Point-Of-Sales-Persons The primary responsibility of some of you will be to recruit channel partners with help of the POS portal  You will be provided leads by a central team, you will call & pitch opportunity to become POS to these prospects  Through effectiveness of the recruitment pitch you will ensure good conversion of the assigned leads  You will enrol the interested prospects in the online training program and ensure through periodic review and reminders that these prospects are motivated to complete their training  You will follow-up and get prospects who complete the training to take a simple online exam  You will also identify alternate potential sources of leads and act on leads of customers who land on the website
 C)   Onboard Point-Of-Sales-Persons You will enable the recruited POSP’s to seamlessly go-live on the system  Enable the agreement sign-off with the recruited POSP’s and setup their code  Provide product knowledge, selling skills and operational process training to the recruited POSP’s 
 D)   Manage performance of Point-Of-Sales-Persons While initially all Channel Managers will be recruiting (Hunters), after sizable number of POSP are recruited, more successful Channel Managers (Farmers) will be made responsible for managing sales performance of group of POSP’s assigned to them:  Manage the relationship with the group of POSP’s and be their single point-of-contact  Provide operational support to these POSP’s including queries for policy submission and issuance  Own the training and development agenda of the POSP’s with product and selling skills  Manage the compensation and rewards of the POSP’s and drive productivity and activization  Ensure control of quality of business sources and sustainability reflected in CDR, leakage and persistency
 
MEASURES OF SUCCESS  Achieve targets for recruitment of Point-Of-Sales-Persons   Achieve targets for MTD activization of Point-Of-Sales-Persons  Achieve overall revenue targets  Sustain quality of business sourced
 
MINIMUM/SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:    Minimum education as a Graduate   1-2 years of work-experience preferred   Preferred prior functional experience – Tele-Calling, Sales, Customer Service Executive  Preferred prior industry experience – Life Insurance, Other Insurance, Banking, Broking, Other Financial Services
